About 4040 Tennis Academy
Our tennis program started in 2020 at the Bittersweet Swimming & Tennis Association, in the heart of Greeley, Colorado. Since that time our program has outgrown the Bittersweet facilities, and we have partnered with the Greeley Country Club to help as many kids as possible learn this great game and hopefully go on to play top level, high school, college, and national tennis. In recent years there has been a decline in tennis, especially youth tennis in Greeley and Northern Colorado and we wanted to change that. We have gathered up top tennis coaches who have either grown up or played tennis in the Greeley and Northern Colorado area to keep local tennis alive and well. We are all looking forward to getting our kids back on the Tennis Courts in Northern Colorado. We have also expanded to include tennis and pickleball lessons for adults.

Starting May 10 we can also restring your tennis rackets! If your looking to refresh your tennis racket string or need a high performance tennis string upgrade, we are the place for tennis racket restringing.

Tennis Level 1 - Intro (Ages 5-7)
Intro to tennis is fun and exciting where players will improve hand-eye coordination, mobility, balance, racket control, and have tons of fun learning the game of tennis. If your young player does not have a racket, not to worry, one will be provided during the session.
Ball: Foam/Red Ball
Racket Sizes: 21" or 23"
Court Size: 36'
Tennis Level 2 – Beginner (Ages 7-9)
Players will learn the fundamentals of different strokes - forehand, backhand, volleys, and serve. Players will be engaged in drills and games designed to improve hand-eye coordination, mobility, balance, and overall tennis skills.
Ball: Orange Dot
Racket Sizes: 23" or 25"
Court Size: 60'/Full Court
Tennis Level 3 - Beginner (Ages 9-11)
Players will learn to refine their game and learn playing strategies for overall success. Players will engage in drills, games, and match scenarios.
Ball: Green Dot
Racket Sizes: 25" or 27"
Court Size: Full Court
Tennis Level 4 – Beginner/Intermediate (Ages 11-14)
Players will learn to refine their game and learn playing strategies for overall success. Players will engage in drills, games, and match scenarios. If your young player does not have a racket, not to worry, one will be provided during the session.

Advanced/High-Performance Training. Specialized training for players looking to play at the highest level for their high schools.

Red Ball Tennis Adult – (Ages 18+)
Red Ball Tennis is a FUN social experience designed to bring new players to your courts and have them playing the game in 10 minutes! With modified equipment and an all-inclusive package, Red Ball tennis will supercharge the success of learning beginner tennis and bring a new level of energy to your day. If you don’t have a racket, not to worry, one will be provided during the lessons.
Tennis Adult – 3.0/3.5 (Ages 18+)
If you’re an adult and want to improve your game this is the class for you. This is where players will improve hand-eye coordination, mobility, balance, racket control, strategy, and have tons of fun playing the game of tennis. If you don’t have a racket, not to worry, one will be provided during the lessons.

Pickleball Adult – Intermediate (Ages 18+)
If you’re an adult and have never picked up a racket before and want to learn this great game, this is the class for you. Adult intro/beginner lessons are fun and exciting. This is where players will improve hand-eye coordination, mobility, balance, racket control, and have tons of fun learning the game of pickleball. If you don’t have a racket, not to worry, one will be provided during the lessons.
